    I don't remember where I found it but it is a setup at the Lawrence Livermore Lab.

    ... it's mostly the same with other labs too - when they've set up an experiment properly, it's a mess in wiring and calibrating, some Millions were used -- but it's then mostly a success too ... what's the main difference to 'common' and much cheaper industry based projects

    It looks like my first projector back when you needed to combine A LOT of diodes to get any usable output. I believe the image is of a laser cooling experiment performed at Max Plank.
