Default Help with: driver, 2w 445nm laser and test load

    Hello everyone,
sorry for my very very bad English ...

being I am new in the world of laser and having already burned one I would ask you kindly help:

    I bought this laser:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2W-445nm-M-T...p2047675.l2557
thanks a lot for the support DTR, you're super nice ...

    then I bought this driver:
    http://www.ebay.it/itm/3A-analog-las...-/161630373926
Vladimir thousand thanks to you for the help ...

now I want to do a load test, and reading on the net I am not clear if and how many types of diodes I have to use

I have at home this material:
    1N5404 Diode and Ω 5W Wirewound Resistor

    my questions are:

    1) the diodes can be go well and how many should I use?
    2) someone has this driver and can help me set it up?

    many thanks to everyone
    Roberto

The 445nm laser diode will drop about 5V at max current, a 1N5404 drops about 0.8v AT 2a, so you'll need to put 6 of them in series to simulate the laser diode.
Not sure about the driver though, sorry.

    hello,
thank you for your reply and help ...
In fact, my question is about how much 1N5404 I need, from what I read in the web only 4 1N5404 and 6 1N4001
    I am confused...
