Yeah, I am afraid that Beyond and the FB3/4 DACs have lowered the value of the QMs. Realistically, it makes sense. Out with the old and in with the new. USB and Network interface make the new DAC solutions a much more viable option. I try to keep looking toward the future. I paid $500 over the years for various HeNe's, $2000 for an air cooled ALC60x, $1200 for my QM (intro), $800 for my 100mW 473nm DPSS and $400 for my 50mW 532 DPSS... I can't look back, I just need to keep looking forward.

    well whomever gets this..

I have a good deal for you-
your choice of any title six minute or less 'song module' lasershow for QM( I have QS and cannot use it)
SMRP is said to be ~$500- I will sell this for half that-

to see the choices search 'MikeDunn Laser' to see the huge selection.
you *may* also be able to use this 'gift certificate' towards a custom made song module by Mike-of your choice ,, that you will have to work out with him--

I won this at a SELEM event (doorprize from Mike).

    Pavel,

When, where, and from whom did you acquire this system?

as people migrate to beyond and fb3/4, i would expect the price to continue falling.

(eyes qm.net next to etherdreams). crap.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

It''s mostly because of the streaming issue in BEYOND being the cause.. they really need to fix it as it''s saddening towards the people who shelled out for QM' pros and such I can imagine.
There is still the benefit of the SDK which the FB4 doesnt have yet so there is that and the LD2000 software still is really powerfull including its current LC-max feature.

It''s saddening to see it drop in value extremely quick now though.
The etherdream also still leaves a lot to be desired.. software support wise.

I recall something being said about Beyond being a bridge for developers into the FB3, I don't know if this will ever happen but is something it really needs. I think the convenience of a small USB / CAT5 box outweighs the advantages QM2000 had for many people.
