    All,

After biting the bullet and ordering the Etherdream from Illumination supply I have to say how amazingly impressed I am with their service, packing and speed of dispatch and delivery. From Order to in my hands in the Uk in just 5 Days! This is the 2nd order I have placed with them and the first was just as quick. A really great company to deal with, A*. I will let everyone know how the mystery art show goes and post pictures if possible. In the meantime watch this space as I may have a 2nd hand Etherdream to sell in a couple of months.

    Cheers

I Agree the box was a tight fit, but with packing where there was space, but it was OK as I would rather not have smaller items rattling about in a big box with not enough packing. But I think you point is a valid point for them to consider.

Craig at Illumination Supply has been awesome for the half dozen or so orders I've placed so far. Things frequently ship the same day and the costs are low for both product and shipping. A few folks use Illumn.com for distribution of their products which is especially useful for those folks that can't be around to ship immediately all the time, which strikes me as a win for inventors, distribution, and customers.

Andrew got ILDSOS to output from an internal QM board, but the program freezes. I never got a version of LSX updates that outputs from my internal QM2K boards.

Right now, LSX is just a toy for me, a way to watch some amazing abstracts... I cant use it to create any real shows yet, as everything I do is multiple scanheads.
    Karl,

Thanks for the valuable insight. I now have an Etherdream for another project, but like you any control solution must be multiple scan head. I have a few reasons which mean that unfortunately I think that LSX would be an unwise purchase decision, this just adds to the list. So thank you again for not allowing me to make the mistake of buying this from published specs. Shame though as I too think it would be great to play with.

    Cheers

LSX does support multiple scan heads with etherdreams.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Hi Swamidog,

Sorry I think I didn't explain myself well. I am now the proud owner of a new etherdream, I mainly use the QM cards. I have a number of these and are presently building them into flightcased multiple card controllers. As I have 3 cards at present I was looking for an alternative to Pangolin to use the Etherdream as one of the dacs, but still using the Pangolin cards. I didn't want to have to buy extra and multiple different dacs for different control software. I saw that Andrew claims this is possible, so my point was more it is better to learn this is not really correct now, rather than buying LSX and finding out later. Not to bang on the same drum too long, particularly as Andrew's support at best leaves a lot to be desired at times. Nothing against LSX, as I said I would love to try it and your work is obviously outstanding, just a limitation for me which makes LSX far less attractive.

    Cheers

absolutely fair. i will ping andrew next time i talk to him and see if there's been progress on the qm2k support. as laserwizardy stated earlier, it does work fine on my qm.net, so it's surprising that there are issues when the card is internal.

i just spoke to drlava and he said it should be working for single and dual card systems. i'm sure i have a more recent version than you do. next time we get together, let's update yours and see what happens.
