Legitimate question.... do you earn money with your motorcycle?

Getting this router is an investment in your business. When you have the ability to do things with lasers that none of your competition can do with them, is it worth the investment? I think you need to sharpen the pencil and see about making one work!

Smile The Advanced ILDA Router is capable of lots more than just simple chases!

I know Brad's comments were mostly in jest, but he does have a point. This product *will* change the way you do laser shows.

One of the cool things you can do with the Advanced ILDA Router is give COLOR CONTROL to the lighting designer at a show.

You know how the LD is always bitching about the lasers not matching the lights? Fine. Run Art-net out from his console into your laser show computer and link it to Beyond. DZ has already written the Beyond script to translate the color signals from three Art-net input channels to DMX commands to be sent back out to the router. This all happens in real-time.

Now you can give the LD control over the color while you maintain control over everything else (size, position, cue selection, scan speed, animation speed, beat-matching, chasing, etc). So if the LD wants everything in red and white, he can get that, while you can still ensure you have full (and safe) control of the lasers.

That's just one small trick that this product has up it's sleeve. There are lots more. (And when I say lots, I mean LOTS!)

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback! I think it's time to bring this beyond PL to see if we can get to the number of units required. I should have the first version of the manual done very soon and at that point I'll see about posting it to the Laserist group on FB (should be ready by this weekend). I need to check with the founder of that group to make sure it wont be a problem posting a sales thread there.

    Thanks again guys!

I fully expect you to be eventually needing to have a booth at LDI and PLASA and all the industry shows. This needs to get into the Light and Sound America Magazine. Info packets sent to lighting design companies, etc. The list goes on. Dodworth needs to be given a demo. Hell, someone needs to take it to Hugo Bunk. Once it's out there... this thing should SELL. You're an ILDA member now... use all the available resources with them that you can too.

(Yeah... I know... what "day job"? )

    Hi all,

    Only one week left!

I've finished writing a manual for the Router and it's available here: www.aldebaran-systems.com/Router_Manual_1.3.pdf

Ed and I have had a discussion about how to proceed with the Advanced Laser Router pre-release. We decided that keeping this on PL is the best thing to do, for now. Neither of us are ready to bring this to full production. If we were to announce it on FB, ILDA list or anywhere else and it suddenly becomes very popular, then we would end up having problems meeting the demand. So we want to keep this on PL and hope that we are able to finish out the numbers to get this pre-release done.

If we make it to 10 units, it's a go. If not, we will have to withdraw the pre-release offer.

We very much appreciate the folks who have already signed up and we desperately want to fill those orders, but without reaching at least 10 units we can't get volume discounts on the required parts.

If this PL pre-release offer is unsuccessful, I will provide full refunds on August 1st to the folks that have already paid.

We hope to have these fully released by the end of the year, but at a substantially higher price.

So, if you are on the fence, now is the time to act.

Appreciate all the effort you and Ed are putting into this, David

Fingers crossed that the pre-release offer makes it ...
