I *need* this router, so I'm willing to wait as well. This is a must-have, in my opinion.

Why was July 31st a 'do or die', anyway? SELEM-targeting? If there's 'moar time', that can only help this situ...

Part of it was SELEM, part of it was the fact that some of us had to finance this purchase, so we've been paying interest since early June, and part of it was that if people weren't willing to take this serious now, they would be unlikely to take it serious later. Plus Ed and DZ have been tied up with this for a very long time, and I suspect they are past ready for people to either shit or get off the pot.

But even so, this product transcends all that. Like I said - I need this thing. If I don't get one from DZ and Ed, I'm going to have to commission someone to build something similar. It won't have 1/10th the features if I do that, and it will probably end up costing more to boot, but I have to have this for what I've got planned for the future.

Then too, this unit will be LOTS more expensive after the first run of 10 are done. (Only makes sense, really. If someone else is handling the assembly, the cost goes way up.) And if there isn't enough interest, then these 10 might be the only ones ever made. I'm not going to miss my chance!

The thing is, we've been talking about this for a year on the forum, and for a lot longer than a year at various LEMs. The original version was at SELEM last year, and DZ talked about it quite a bit. (We even had it in the auditorium for people to look at.) Back then there was TONS of interest.

Fast forward to May of this year, when the "2.0" version was discussed. Still lots of interest, right? (There sure was a lot of discussion about it here on PL.) Yeah, but just a month later when it came time for people to send in their money, suddenly everyone wanted more time. That doesn't square with the previous year's worth of interest in this product. I imagine it was quite disheartening for Ed and David too.

Personally, I've been waiting for this thing for OVER a year, and I really don't want to wait any longer. But I need it badly enough that I will wait as long as I have to. I reserve the right to bitch about the wait though. (And totally not blaming Ed or DZ for it.)

10-4.. Well, I also +1 to the suggestion to put this out on the 'Laserist' group' on FB (at least..) Yes, I can understand the 'fear of success' / Order-mobs, but.. You Can control that, too.. ie: 'There are *ONLY* 2x Units, being offered at this Price; After that, Price is $X,XXX.' etc.. and, if it's "a LOT more", well.. That will cut down on the 'players', most likely.. At least the 'first golden 10' can be realized.. Again, I'd be all over this, but.. 'Timing' is just murder, sometimes..

As I've said repeatedly, I only wanted another of the original splitter. I even told DZ some time ago I never expected to use half the features of this thing but, would probably just use it in basic splitter mode. Now that I'm learning more about what it has the capability to do, you almost hate working on shows without it. I'm working on stuff now and visualizing exactly what can now be accomplished and it's mind boggling, hence the chomping at the bit.

A little part of me is perfectly content with their only being 10 (well, 12) in the world because it will be an elite club of us that have the ability to "eat your lunch" in terms of shows for a client.

OK I'll take one....who do I send the money to...and how!
A proforma invoice via PM or email would be great! Then I could make the payment as per terms of proforma.

I'm sure he'll get back to you very soon ~
Like many of us here, he has another "real job" that pays the bills and tends to take up most of one's time during the day...
