    Arnold,

Stop messing about! You have other projects and we want to see some progress. How is the Marx Bank, the dye capillary resonator and a solution for the preionization of high pressure CO2?

I have one of those CuBr Working...

Let me know when you need the resivoir temperatures...

Gas fill is mostly neon, a touch of helium, and then hydrogen from the spectra.

If you need any information on that Norseld/Aesucap I have a part service manual + all the schematics for it somewhere.
How many hours are on the tube? Looks fairly high from the amount of deposits.

Also: the first half of this is a fairly nice watch:

    Hello Danielbriggs,
Yes i am interested in the part service manual and all the schematics.
I have 2 lasers an all two are no functional.
This first on the electronic dont work ! I decide to remove all electronic and put my HV power supply .
The pressure on neon is not correct i will open the tube an put new gas inside.
The second laser make the first programme step (heating the 3 CuBr vessel to the temperature and after the HV will not start.
I tink with you schematics that will a great help for my!

I'll send you a PM in the next few minutes.

    @ HV Will not start:
I assume you have checked this already (so forgive me for stating the obvious), but there are two sets of breakers on the back of the unit, one for low voltage and one for high voltage. If you start the unit with only the LV breaker energised you will get that exact error. So maybe check that, and associated fuses as a first place to look.

Here is some inspiration for you to get them running
(Watching the vapour swirl around in the plasma tube is very satisfying)

Dan,What do you know about the serial port for troubleshooting/diagnosing/admiring the Norseld? The one inside the fiber drawer?

    Steve,
I spent quite a while trying to get any life out of either of the serial ports, to no avail unfortunately. (I think one was a physical DB9 connector, and I'm fairly sure I found another serial bus on the PCBs somewhere.) I don't know the command set, and there was no logging output by default. Thinking back I'm convinced there was a "jumper" to get it to enable the serial comms, from quirk in the service manual; (and yes, I'm missing the pages on how to get to the comms+maintenance screens)
This was probably 5-6 years ago; however I would like to think I'd have more success knowing more about them now.
However I no longer have the laser (sold to good friend )

Is there anything you need to do with it, or just a curiosity?
