RIYA MultiBus Micro ILDA or similar

Looking to buy a small microsd ILDA adapter similar to the RIYA MultiBus Micro.

I've been shopping for an ILDA adapter with an SD card reader for my portable ILDA laser. Trying to avoid expensive, bulky adapters.

It looks like I'm stuck with the EtherDream, which is a great piece of hardware, but still a little pricey and bulky.

I'd suggest you get it from www.illumn.com as shipping is consistently quick.

Also, FYI the EtherDream is only about 3"x5" and is available for as low as $170 without the case ($190 with the case and power supply). I believe the RIYA DACs cost at least that much for anything other than RIYA lite (which is also a good deal as it comes with software). In the world of lasers, DACs in that range are considered very reasonably priced . . .

I went ahead and purchased one from Illumination Supply. With a case included and free shipping (they're even local to me here in San Jose), it's not a bad deal.

As for size, since the laser I use is intended to be portable, the original product, which attached directly to the ILDA port, was the preferable form factor.

I'll probably just end up mounting the adapter INSIDE my laser.

Great! Illumn usually ships out within 24 hours so it'll be with the carrier by first thing Monday, I'd bet.

Building the EtherDream into the projector is certainly an option. I have three small portable builds currently in the 5 to 7 pound range with EDs in them. I'm not using the SD card, but appreciate running a sleek CAT5 cable to them as opposed to a relatively bulky ILDA cable.

We'd love to see pics of your build as you progress on your project.
