It is a little over three weeks to the event! Unfortunately Andrew is not coming due to a big show he is putting on in Vegas that same weekend. So as far as equipment is concerned we are still in need of audio equipment, hazers, and of course, lasers. I built a large shelf for Eric's rigs last year, and we certainly can use that:Click image for larger version.

ID:	48188 We can put other rigs on tables or we can put some on aluminum staging that can take the weight. My Gort rig put the galvo about 8 feet in the air. I'm going to place my second laser halfway down near his legs and project the zone up. We can stick Eric's lasers on the shelf next to the robot near the center of the arena--or around the perimeter--whatever is best for all concerned.

I'm about to book my rental vehicle for the weekend and shooting for a mini van rather than a cargo van like I use for SELEM. The JBL's amps, mixer and cables are the primary priority since you need sound. With the room that's left, I can bring whatever else we need. Haze, fog, lasers, stands/truss, whatever. I'm still trying to ascertain what time to arrive and, what's happening Saturday between putting the pig in at 6am and eating it at 6 pm. You don't have anything listed. Participating in the Sunday activities will depend on timing since I'll plan on driving back Sunday late afternoon/evening.

If we are going to put lasers around the perimeter of the arena, we are going to need quite a few long ILDA cables or USB extenders. I'm taking the week off prior to the event to get as much as possible done as far as set up for the pig roast and show. As to activities during the day Saturday, if we can get the set up done early, we could take tour around historical Newburyport (3 miles) or to the beach at plum island (5 miles). We will have pizza at 1 PM on Saturday (and several on-tap beers). We may have folks from the local brewery stop by from Clown Shoes Beer makers of Tramp Stamp Belgian beer. But mainly Saturday will be set up and intergation of the content with all the equipment. I've got a few original shows--but I would love to learn more about setting up zones in Beyond. I'm sure Eric will give a primer on beam shaping--and if he can get the drone working?? who knows. I can talk about cry-cooling the 638 reds on the cheap (nothing is cheap with lasers, but these temp controllers were 10 bucks a piece.) I'll have to leave around 4 to get set up for the unveiling of the pig. That will pretty much take the day. Thanks so much for driving all the way up to attend. It means a lot to me. Without PL and all the great people, I would have never been able to construct the rigs I have. And I would never have met Eric and make the pilgrimage to the northern wilds of New Hampshire to marvel at his builds.

I have better than 1000 feet of ILDA including 3 or 4 100' runs. A bunch of 50's, 25's etc., all the way down to 1 foot sections. I think the DZ splitters will also come in extremely handy. As far as lasers, it all depends on space but, I have possibly 10 or 12 RGB's in mind. For sure the 12 watt.

Wow! That is great. With my 2 rigs and Eric's 4 rigs + 12--18 rigs! Holy shit--that is an amazing amount of firepower. We will be stringing rigs from the ceiling!

    I don't think you'll need my ~1 watt projectors.

By any chance are there any 240 volt sockets at or near the venue where I could charge my electric car?

Any of these outlets can work:

    NEMA 14-50 (50 amps)
    NEMA 14-30 (30 amps)
    NEMA 10-30 (30 amps)

    thanks.

A 1 W projector and an electric car? Is something wrong with this picture?

    I don't think you'll need my ~1 watt projectors.
No one NEEDS any projectors. Why not bring it?

    Is Gabe still with Andrew?

Will Peter (krazer) be coming to the roast or just staying in Boston with MIT.

We may have folks from the local brewery stop by from Clown Shoes Beer makers of Tramp Stamp Belgian beer.
Maybe it would be easier to just skip the lasers.

Hank.. bring whatever. We can figure out a way to use it. I've been Google Earthing and checking out best routes. I think I'm seeing what corresponds to the pictures in the first post as far as the venue. It's sits a ways back from the main road along a lane that also had a house right? It's on the northerly side of Main Street?
