    WOW!!! Laser engraving on a friggin Gattlin Gun!!!! Now that's how you make a first post here on PL! Way to go! What are you using for the laser source?

    ... is this a 445nm-laser on your CNC?

    I'm engraving dark coated steel or other materials with roughly 30 to 50 mm/s, cutting more like 10mm/s.

    But I have several different (stronger) lasers at hand, beside the 2W@445nm, to get the best effect for the specific materials or surfaces ...

    What you need to engrave on steel is an Epilog Fibre Marker.
