A lot of the people here on PhotonLexicon are hobbyists. That means we like to build things ourselves. (It also means we like to save money whenever we can.)

Your projector looks very nice, but it is also *very* expensive. Your average hobbyist could build a projector like yours, with the same color and power, for between $1200 and $1500 tops. (And that's with really nice galvos and optics, plus a nice case.)

I don't think you will find a lot of people here that will be willing to pay 3 to 4 times the price of the parts just to have them all assembled for them.

EDIT: OOPS! Fred just pointed out that the price might actually be $550, which is a lot more reasonable. So I retract my price arguement. However, people here are still hobbyists, and as such a lot of us like to build things for ourselves.

Good point Fred - I saw the comma after the first digit and immediately assumed 5 thousand, not 5 hundred. But looking back, I think you're right. The price probably is $550. (Which is actually pretty reasonable.)

Are the lasers TTL or analog modulated? If the optics were good it may be a good start for an RGB if there is room inside that case.
