    Default 6W RGB Dilemma

    Hi guys,

I would like to hear you opinions on the two top contenders for our new RGB lasers:

    KVANT ClubMax 6000 (1.3W 637nm, 1.9W 520nm, 3W 445nm)
    http://www.kvantlasers.sk/product/kvant-clubmax-6000

    EvilLasers KORE 7 (2.8W 635nm, 2.0W 520nm, 2.8W 450nm)
    http://www.evil-lasers.com/index.php?site=products

The price is basically the same, and both units are equipped with Pangolin ScannerMAX 506 galvos. I'm leaning towards the KVANT because there are a well known company, but I'm afraid that their unit will be underpowered compared to the KORE. The main usage will be beam shows, so output is vital. I haven't been following the diode market in the last couple of years, but I've heard that power shouldn't be the only factor in visibility, and that except divergence one should also mind the type of diode used...

    Any comments would be appreciated!

If they are both similar prices; the Kore would be my choice: loads more red, which will give you a higher power balanced white (very rough rule of thumb 1:1:1 R:G:B), and all colours on the Kore look to have lower divergence.
    - There is no such word as "can't" -
    - 60% of the time it works every time -

Just based on the promo videos I've seen with the EVIL Kore looks very promising and the colors are very beautiful. The KVANT seems to be packed more heavily on the blue. I don't own either of these but if I did get one I like the EVIL Kore.

    Shameless plug!
But company is brand new and if you help them get a variance for USA I am fairly certain they would give you a great deal !
and... you would have power to spare !
    Cheers

are you in the US? i'm not sure if KORE is compliant with FDA/CDHR regulations.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

No, I'm in EU, so FDA is not a concern.

Getting a projector variance isnt that hard. But they dont have full projectors listed. So I am not sure what you would variance. Sub components like they are selling need to be built into a projector. The projector will need to be varianced.
