Sure, but a PBS would be a more expensive way to turn than a simple mirror. The "+" would be a big deal for me. There is almost always a reason to line up the larger dimension with some limiting apature, be it a scanner or a lens.

Hey! tested 6x Dave cyls with this diode (G2):

PCV distance from diode.............beam size (horiz)....mrad
    -----------20mm-----------------------4,3mm------------1,1
    -----------30mm-----------------------4,6mm------------0,81
    -----------35mm-------------------------5mm------------0,65

    distance between lenses 34mm

You're kidding right? That's amazing! I didn't know they were that effective.

    Thanks Jordi
I haven't bought the diodes yet but have 6x cylinders from Dave arriving in next couple of weeks. He's tweaking some drivers for me to try them at 4watts too.

    Cheers for the handy info.

Hey Kit!!! Nice to hear from you
Great! Once again you get 07E diode and Dave's 6x, it could be nice if you share a divergence test as well.

Hi All....great to see others having the same results with the 07E + G2 + 6X Cylindrical lenses (Post #84). This is a killer combo for sure !!
    .
Now....All we need is a correctable high power Red !!!!!!
    .
    IMNSHO....Combine the 07E + 01T + a quad 63193 RED....add in the Planters/Jordi Spatial Filtering....Now...That I would like to see !!!

Here are a few pics of my 07E, it was a beautiful wavelength as you all know.
I may have contaminated it resulting in it's sudden dimming, keeping these clean is no doubt important.
You can see the can was sealed to the backing with some kind of sealant, and it did not come loose easily for me, it put up a bit of a tussle, but my vice jaws do have some slack. The mark on top of the waveguide was from its final expedient removal from its module via hammer and punch.
FYI the diode was run at 3.5 amps via SXD and well heat sinked, I do swap out lens often and fear humidity could be an issue, it is a gorgeous wavelength.

Hello All...This thread discusses the issue of a premature O7E failure due to can removal...in detail.
    .
I might be tempted to leave the damn can on for future applications....considering the cost of this diode !! ....as long as I can get a tight beam of mRad < 1.0 !!
    .
All that I have read suggest that the can is typically removed with great ease....supporting the thought that there is no magic/Foo Foo inert gas protecting the die. I dunno !!!! ??? What do others say ????
    .
If the trade off is a very small degree of off focus....while still obtaining a tight beam....well...then...it seems like a simple solution....leave the can on !!
    .
I remain uncertain of which direction to go !! How many have installed the 07E into their projector ??? What are the results ??

I put a 07E into Brewster; corrected it with your 6X (?) lenses; works a treat.
Used the DTR tube (de-canned) with the G2 lens.
    3W, pretty blue.

Hey clickamouse ...not wanting to sound aggressive here ....but....
What exactly is "Brewster" in this context?
    Cheers
