Default so uh, no aluminum I guess...

EDIT: The way some of the members here have desperately tried to identify my location and nationality for whatever reason they believed was needed for by asking an admin to check my profile logs and researching me by the content of my posts has been very creepy and unnecessary. So bye.

brass will have better thermal conductivity then aluminum it's just more expensive and weighs more copper would be even better but cost more, have you thought about scrap yards? they some times have bar stock or atlest something that can be worked into something useful.
I dont know why people think aluminum is king on thermal conductivity but brass and more so copper is better it just costs more, 4 times as much if memory serves but if that's all you can get then i guess use it, otherwise scrap from audio amps have very nice aluminum heat sinks with usually one flat side to work with

    Brass is worse than aluminum.

Have an airport around? The airframe and power plant (AP) or LAME (licensed aircraft maintaining engineers ) or the local equivalent will know where to buy Aluminum in your town.

Copper would be the absolute best for thermal conductivity but it is a pain in the ass to machine.

I have seen and used and built plenty of projectors on wood. It works fine. Grab heatsinks from old computers and you are good to go.

My first projector was build this way. 1W rgb, no heat issues at all. If the heatsinks are small, fans are cheap too.
