Ok, so the time has come to sell my very first quality projector build. Hopefully the pictures do it justice and you can see the love and effort I put into it at the time.
I'm selling because I'm hoping to start motorbike racing next year, and at £250 a set of tyres every meeting, plus about the same in entry fees, before you get into fuel, brake pads, and crash damage, etc its making lasers look like a cheap hobby! Whilst this is a great projector, and I've thought long and hard about letting it go, it is a single one, where all my others are in pairs, so its the obvious choice to liquidate.
So, a few details:
Modules
Laserwave DPSS 1W 532, making over 1W still (see pics)
Kvant 1W 638nm single mode red making over 1W still (see pics). This cost me £1900 when i bought it! *ouch*
Lasershowparts dual 5.6mm module kit with pair of A140 diodes and an FM P3 driver, converted from knife edge setup to waveplate and cube (see pics). This is making around 1.25W currently (see pics) but if you wanted more blue, you could drop in a pair of M140 or even mix and match M462 and M140. Drop in new diodes basically.
Note that all the power measurements are post optics, so those power readings include any losses.
Scanners
Pangolin Compact 506 scanners with DT40 amps modified by Bill Benner at Pangolin. These are one of the first ever sets 'in the wild' and the amps are the ones pictured in the C506 modification guide. They use the large 5mm aperture mirrors and some special mirrors that Bill had made up (I think he had 5 sets done, I own 3 of them). I'm not sure if Bill Benner's touch is worth anything though....
Electronics, etc
DZ Laser ILDA breakout board mk3 - with my own design of daughter board to drive the pass thru interlock loop via a relay.
Guido's Safety Board v2.1 incorporating various interlocks and scanfail. See mylaserpage.de for more details.
Case
The case is so lovely, co-created by Paul Louden and Simon P1tbull off this forum if I remember correctly. So solid, with a really robust paint coating (possibly powder coated now I think about it). It is cleverly designed so it has an overlapped 'porch' front and back so it is relatively shower proof if outdoors (although I wouldn't want to claim any specific IP rating for it). It also uses a standard photographic lens thread on the front so IR glass can be easily unscrewed for access or replacement.
A -6 Safetyscan lens in Pangolin mount.
Looking for £1500 please.
I would rather a sale in UK initially, purely because of shipping issues, but lets see what/who is interested.
Enjoy the pics, hope they tell you enough about it.
