    Yep meant Hg.

Translation: buy a used gast vane pump of eBay.

    Looked on Beckers website :
    Search Products
No Results Found For "FK80/2" =
Power consumption looks like it would be more than enough however !
Don't like the "not tested" bit.

That's a blower style pump, it probably won't be any better than the one you have. You really need a positive displacement pump.

What about the GAST one that woody has ?
25" of HG sounds like pretty "positive" displacement to me!
Despite being "vane" rather than "piston"

    See post #5 http://www.cnczone.com/forums/mainte...rking-toy.html

I'm with NobleGas, that eBay pump looks like a blower.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GAST-compr...item1c585cba6c is a piston pump. Prolly not enough CFM and would take awhile to draw a vacuum in the lines.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gast-Rotar...item4aefef9ba6 Looks more like the unit I have. One thing to be aware of is the condition of the vanes inside. If they are worn the pump will have much reduced vac and the parts are pricey.

There has to be a Uk made pump that is similar.
