Default Why 30mW 515nm Green Laser Diode Module Use 8.4V DC power supply?

Hi, guys, When I am selecting a high powered 30mW 515nm green laser diode module online, I am totally puzzled by its operating voltage of DC input power supply. Not the same as common lasers, this 30mW green laser diode modules just chooses high operating voltage of 8.4v. such high operating voltage laser is as below:

I am sure if they are making a mistake, or just the truth to select such higher operating voltage. If I am choose this 30mW green laser diode module, I am worrying about its beam stability. Is it can be easily burnt out? Please give me some advanced.

Yes, they operated at quite a high voltage. If you look at data sheets for PL520 or PLP520 diodes, you'll see what the voltage requirements are. Stability should be fine as long as it's within the specified temp range. 30mW isn't going to produce much heat.

yeah i ran into this problem with a few diodes as my driver could not produce the higher voltages, so select a controller that can drive to that voltage, and 515nm ? i cant wait to see one in person!
