The last update made to it was a rectifier, a big damn capacitor and some LED lighting.

sorry for taking so much time to replay but i would go with CO2 as well,
I like halon more but it is more expensive and will never be cheap, the way halon works is more effective, as i understand it , the reaction it has in the fire is to knock the oxygen out the of reaction and replaces the O2 with it's self and may knock down the fire faster but it does the same thing to us so it's not for a small space with limited ventilation. I own a large halon and would not give it up for anything, it's lighter and easier for me to deploy, but had i not had it i would have went the CO2 route

i would never use dry chem around anything sensitive , that stuff is corrosive and a nightmare to clean out of equipment. I have seen baking soda units coming back into use for BC type fires, i still would not "want" to use it on equipment but much easier to clean up

i just looked up the current prices on my beloved halon and screw it, 2.5 pound being 155bucks is insane, my 19 pound unit has 13 pounds of halon pound unit i only paid 40 bucks for it, so yeah go with co2 for your lab i would go the same route, I have read the whole sale value for halon 1211 is 10 bucks a pound and is no longer made, ozone depleting, granted if my stuff is on fire i dont care about the ozone layer

After shopping around for a replacement fire extinguishers i think my view is swinging back to halon , at lest for a second hand unit and there is more then one version of halon to pick from, i only have experience with halon 1211, i have never used the "halotron" or H3R halon. I still think CO2 is safer in a small enclosed space but i am finding at lest here in the states it's still cheaper then CO2.
