Bought these 4 projectors manufacturer refurb at the end of August this year and have used them for app. 100hrs each. I am looking to move on them and thought I would give first dibs to the PL community. If you have Beyond, then these are your best $ for $ option to get into the Emulaser stuff and do some crowd scan mimicking with these. $1800 per projectors in original box, or $3750 for 2 in a near new Pelican 0350 Cube. If you buy 2 I will throw in a USB>HDMI converter, a 4-way HDMI splitter, and a Cat5/6 to HDMI receiver/transmitter boxes to run these at over 200' with no issues. All projectors come with 2 pair of 3D glasses that are brand new never worn. I can ship ASAP and can offer 2 or 3-day shipping if you need these for a Halloween Event. No problem Brad I thought you would maybe be interested. As long as you have control over proper haze/fog levels and cutting competing movers and LED walls for a few minutes these projectors showed great effect in venues well over 2000 patrons. I highly recommend these 5030UB over the 5020UB as the 600K:1 contrast ratio in the 5030 is ideal for a proper Emulaser usage given the minimal extra cost. Heck you can even throw the Superbowl party of a lifetime w/ a 300" screen in 4k or 1080I/P if you get bored.

One of these has been on my "to get" list for some time and I tend to forget about it for awhile and then it pops back in my head to look around at prices again. Two would be really nice but, I'm not certain yet if that's in the cards. I have the cash for one in my pocket although... some of that has been earmarked as "mad money" for the Portland LEM in a few weeks. I have a laser show on the 13th though that could reimburse some of that. I'll survey the finances tonight.

Can you post a picture of them on but not displaying, or maybe a fan on the lower 50% so I can get a feel for how much "grey" light escapes? I imagine with a contrast ratio that high they must do a pretty good job of not bathing people in light when they're supposed to be "off"

Yes, very little. I've tried messing around with other projectors but if memory serves, these put out like next to nothing.

I have tried taking pictures/video of the "bleed" and is simply does not pick up on camera at all. To be honest 90% of what looks excellent in person doesn't pick up on camera as well so please note these can look amazing in person, and completely invisible on camera unlike tradition lasers. I do know exactly what you are talking about so I'll fill in with my opinion w/o pictures on the issue. There is brightness adjustments on these projectors, I believe -16 to +16. I have experimented thoroughly and have found that at the factory setting of 0, there almost zero visible bleed w/ or w/o fog haze in the atmosphere. Anything from +4 to +16 seemed that the unwanted grey bleed enhanced specifically when used in combination with a water based fog machine and hazer. Although I do not know how many lumens output are at brightness level 0 compared to +16 I found 0 to be the sweet spot for laser mimicking techniques while keeping the bleed out of everybodies eyes during the rest of the performance. I did many head to head comparisons of 1 projectors at brightness 0, and the others at different brightness levels and everytime a few of us agreed anything over 0 took away from the effect desired. At the level of 0 I had no issues in venues over 2,000 plus people getting maximum effect to reach balconies or FOH at 50+ feet away.

At this time I have 2 units in que for sale but no monies received.

Would you consider a trade involving a pair of Lightspace Pluto IIs? I have full diode versions w/462. They output ~3W off the mirrors. Last of the Pluto II's before they discontinued the line.
