Default Mounting single projector to tripod

Where can I find one of these? I want to be able to mount a single projector on top of a Global ST-132 stand (35mm insert)

comes as part of a full tripod. This one is similar but not the exact same one. The head is about 100 bucks USD. You can search around their site https://www.manfrotto.us/

    Hi Rich,

This looks like the cheapest way via Manfrotto. https://www.manfrotto.us/products/li...s?limit=36&p=2 That would be $93+ shipping. You would still need to make or buy a spigot to bolt to the projector arm that fits in the female hole in the mount.

Check this thread. the guys had some useful ideas on here too. http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ht=kupo+tripod.

I used almost exactly the same setup. Mine was Kupogrip brand. the cheapest way to get one of their adaptors is this one, about $115. http://www.kupogrip.com/steel-combo-stand-extension/ You could ask them to send just the adaptor head if you want to save on shipping. Just pay attention to the pole diameter was this one is 35mm and my stand is 38mm.

Let me know if you get stuck. I haves a lathe and milling machine now and I have some 60mm aluminium bar stock on hand. if you don't know anyone close by who can make you one, I could machine you one with a clearance hole for 35mm, a bolt hole through the side to clamp to the pole and a thread in the top or a stud to mount your projector hanger. Depending on where you are, it would cost about $85USD including shipping.

I didn't see any prices but the X-laser mounting brackets look pretty compelling. They let you keep your projector in "Hanging from a truss mode" so you don't need to swap from top to bottom if you do one show on a truss and another show in a tripod.

    Good luck

    Thanks guys.

The X-laser mount is way too big really and it runs $250+ which is ludicrous.

At the moment I have tripod mounts that I think are meant for speakers but they work great.

I really like the integrated safety eye on the items shown above.
I'll fire off an email to Kupo and see if they can do the adaptors separately.

    Cheers
