first time ive seem silica gel inside a laser head like that..... bit of a pisser if it comes adrift
all the best ... Karl
Hmmm, I dont know who made that..very interesting !
I definately want a closer inspection of the optics.
It may lead to a key for the other diodes we are interested in.
Actually, Its quite common to see packets of silicon gel in sealed equipment.
Its there to soak up any moisture just in case the seal is compromised.
Those packets are pretty strong to break..
What I think is cool is whats printed on them : "DO NOT EAT"
Ok, I wont use it as salt.
Thanks Mark for that Pix

Haha! Isn't that the truth though? Like you were expecting food to be packaged along with your laser. "Oh wow! Cool! I got a laser, and a package of Chicklets!" How damn retarded do you have to be to EAT silica gel anyway? Those packets are pretty strong to break..

Sigh... People are stupid.
Adam
Hehe. Yeah I know , like its tempting or something.
They coulda just said "POISON" or "DEATH" in a packet., But that prolly give people ideas
Shit, Can you imagine it would be like passing a kidney stone or two or three., eee-gads

It isn't a RGB lasers red is it?
It kind of looks like what they use, but then again, i cant see the outside of the box. From the pic posted, it looks like its built in a small die cast box?
Like this one?
