You can't be too sure, so I feel obliged to put the reminder out there. Self promotion doesn't seem to be hurting The Donald so...just say'n.As for Planters, everyone knows he's a super-smart guy ;-)

Which brand of plastic Sc*****ing film did he use on the glass?
That actually is really good.. Nice correction, or the lack of, on the images, as well.

Qui habet Christos, habet Vitam!
I should have rented the space under my name for advertising.

Right, has nothing to do with a hologram or holography. Just another "me too" scam to capitalize on the word.
"Pepper ' s ghost" strikes again! :-)
These little units, or variations there of, have been around for a few years now. I've worked on a few corporate gigs where they were prevalent around 2011-12... haven't seen any for a while though, so maybe they went out of fashion?
If in doubt... Give it a clout?
Pepper's Ghost has been re-patented by a firm using a stretched, coated, mylar. Billed as a "holographic concert"(misnomer!), they are using the concept to "bring back" dead entertainers. They tend to actively enforce their patent, so very few acts are going to do Pepper's Ghsot unless they are sure they are clear of the patent.
I still think the design and physics of the box Bill linked to is one of the best I've ever seen.

Usually someone trying to cram the buzzwords of 3d or holographic into a product... My Facebook is haunted with holographic headphones - this old illusion really has the public excited right now.
Found a similar effect when doing some visual performance art - often the fancy stuff doesn't look any better than the simple tricks to the general public so this old stuff just keeps working

I was at Best Buy today and they had one of these things on display. I forgot what it was that it was advertising but the device portion looked pretty much the same. The image inside didn't look 3D at all though. It just looked like a floating 2D engine.
The image is projected from the top. You can see the round thing at the top where the image originates.
