- how fat is the beam?
- can you scew the mirror an punch holes in steel blades to measure the smallest possible 'drilling' diameter?

at this wavelength 10'600nm and 1 microseconde pulse length you can not punch a hole in steel blade because you have formation on a plasma on the surface that absorbe the energy !

AFAIK I have one of your N2 TAE's and have plans to use it (together with a DMD-chip) in a sort of "micro-eroder" (did something similar with Excimer-lasers ten years ago) ... but it's a low-priority project, so will need some more time to realize ...
