Default what connector type is suitable for high current DC?

HI all, I'm building a custom PJ, I have a two floor design, the PSUs and drivers of the modules are on the bottom part of the case, the diodes and optics are on the top.
So the high current power cables for the diodes are coming from cables from the bottom floor. To easily be able to take off the optical plate (second floor), I'll need to add female/male connector on those cables that go from the bottom of the case to the top. That way I can unplug those cables and just take off the optical plate after taking off few scews.
JST connectors are fine for the signal cables, but what connectors can I use for up to 20A going to some high power diodes?

The DB9 connector could be ok, 9 pins so 2 x 4 pin circuits (+V/GND) could be ok for 20A peak.

Or else go for the DC connectors used in model aircraft for LIPO battery connections.

I dont know how much current each DB connector pin can handle. But even if it could handle it, seems like a waste of time soldering several pins together if I just need one + and one -.
As for the LIPO battery connectors, I have no idea which ones they use. Quick search on ebay and I see JST connectors, the red ones. I have a few and they are 20AWG only.

But maybe you mean another connector type.

Common, and in my opinion, the best LiPo connectors are the XT60 connectors; they'll handle 60A per pin.

    That's perfect.

XT60 for sure. I use them too. They can be a bit tough to pull out as they are really snug fits.
I have modeled an adapter that allows XT60 even to be used on cases and have a pair of the case adapters on my desk.

... the high-current D-SUB connectors fron Conec are good too, if you need more than 2 pins:

I also found this webpge to be useful: http://www.tjinguytech.com/reviews/rc-connectors
Seems like XT60 is the best choice, there are similar connectors which can handle higher currents but harder to source, but I don't see how you'd need more than 60 Amps unless you want to build a 70W+ blue module in which case you're enough into electronics to know what to use yourself.
There's also a page on DC connectors in Wikipedia but it is incomplete: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_connector
