Yeah, what a Great story to have under your hat, eh? Sir Photonbeam has got many, many such 'gems of gold'.. Zeppelin, Bowie, dang.. What a Resumé!..

Fwiw, this was my 'tribute', alonside-whist doing some art for a Client-gig in Jan.. Feel free to 'point-pull' / recolorise / use to ya'll's liking.. You may-find the 'ILDA' one has a strange color-shift.. The first Pic, below, was 'coloration as-intended'..

Graphic has a lot of things which make the graphic overly sensitive to color shifting or disconnecting thing that are off the same color which could be have been drawn in one go (wasting points on corner/color and blanking points there)
Nevertheless i'm going to give it a quick optimize but it will be far from efficient. Also to make it less color shift dependant add some blanking at the end of each hot point till it just fades. It gives natural fades while making up for difference in characteristics of projector builds. Not sure how to explain that completely without showing it.

Another way to get rid of color shift issues without getting a pcaom or so is to pull all the points out of the end and add more points to the last colored dot and remove some blanking and offset it to make up for the extra points added. Gives smooth stops at ends of lines.

Here a new one of bowie:
I did some quick tweaks but it would be best if this was redrawn. A lot of broken sections which put a toll on both modulation and pointcount

On any solid state laser projector running at 30kpps please use color shift of 4
On any system running at 90kpps please use color shift of 8
On any system running 60kpps use a color shift of around 6 (not sure about this one anymore)
