As for Laserboy's correction amp for the sound card mod, he has it in a nice kit that's fairly easy to build, if this dragon can build one i am sure you can build one as well, you will need volt meter and have the ability to solder to though hole parts and it's all silk screened and if you use the same usb sound card he even points out where to tack in the wires to it's board, the bump i ran into was a driver issue from the maker of the sound card but at that time i found drivers that worked well with win7 now i have not tried it with win 10 yet, the laserboy application seems to run ok on win10 but i have not tested them together yet after i went to win 10 on my craptop ILDA is a differential buss meaning you have +5 volts, ground, then -5 volts if memory serves and his correction board does this. if not some one can bop me on the nose and give me the correct info.

slightly off topic i have a dragon carved out of Moldavite that i think came from the Czech Republic, i don't know which area though, it's green, translucent and just awesome, very high detail with the dragon and on the back it was left natural (I am autistic and love shiny/odd things like these)
Also welcome to the board, the people here are very knowledgeable and helpful, although they did have a dim view of my idea of making an army of toads armed with lasers

Can't imagine why anyone would object to "an army of toads armed with lasers"

Toads are great ...perfect for bedside tables ...they EAT mosquitos..if they have lasers they could upgrade to toasted mosquitos!

    Its quite lively here, awesome!

    @Swamidog - sent ya a PM, thanks!
@Draco - Thanks for the confidence, sticking with Win 7/8.1 atm, Win 10 is unusable for me due to development tools and some legacy games plus we discourage our customers from using them (enterprise software, some banks still running Win XP and IE 7.0).. And Moldavite, or as we call it Vltavin - having a dragon carved out of precious stone, that is definitely something! Most of my dragon status are Enchantica series or Land of Dragons =) We've got a land tortoise and a bunny in house, however arming them with lasers or similar gear did not occur to me and I think I will rather keep it like that, as the tortoise once bit some fluff off bunny's butt when she got in her summer outdoor pen!

@Grix: Thanks for the heads up - when I get the laser and start experimenting, I'm sure I will get back to this

After a night of clubbing and trying to stay sober, as I was on 24/7 emergency duty, I've pondered over some club's equipment and how it performs in non haze/smoke environment and found RGB TTL 1W laser to be rather lacking in decently sized room, although lots of colourful and bar lights plus they did audience scan (auto-music laser and "DJ" with playlist ) so I guess/hope that it was on light power.. makes me ponder how the 0.5W analog chinese laser will do :S

Syncing music & voice over right now in Audacity and prepping basic graphics in Inkscape so baby steps.. baby steps!

If you have a "large sized room" with no smoke/haze ... you will need Draco's entire army of toads armed with lasers if you want to impress the punters!

Regarding QS, there are dealers within the EU.

As the Czech Republic is an EU country, you should be able to buy it for around £350-400 with no additional tax.

    eg: £387 incl. a 10m ILDA cable : http://www.kvant-laser.eu/kvant-verk...er-kaufen.html

    Hello!
Have you tried Laserworld Showeditor? It is a new software from Laserworld, very cheap. The interface seems quite good, with lots of features.
Perhaps the bad point is that color is just 8bit. But has other advantages, as:
    - max. 16 interfaces to 1 software
    - connected via ethernet
    - sd card included
    - possibility to use 2 interfaces to extend ILDA or DMX via ethernet
Check out all the possibilites in Showeditor website.

    Best regards!

Heya old thread but illustrate is offered at a student discount.. its possible to obtain it with "different means as well" but I cannot help you with that.. although please don't use it commercially if you obtain it that way.
ildsos wont cost you a lot so it's not a very expensive way.
3ds max is offered for free to students (no student email required and no questions asked).

Avoid ishow at all cost.. its unusable.
