So lets not assume anything, untill you are sure?

    Just my .02
I assume that it was legal because the coast guard/homeland security pilots flying over could easily radio the airport and have them send police to shut it down. I always got the impression that the FAA was hard to deal with. I hope they were able to do it legally because that means there are future opportunities for similar gigs. When I get some time today or tomorrow, I am going to give them a call & ask how they did it. Might as well introduce myself and maybe I'll get lucky and they can throw me some small gigs they don't want to bother with.

It looked awesome in the pics/videos and I'm jealous! Wish I would have seen it in person.

Give who a call? The laser company or the FAA regional contact?

Are you sure they were terminated at balcony and not roof height or into free air? The angle on the 1st pic looks to be above the top of the balconies.

Either way, i would have thought there was more risk to a moving display in an enclosed balconied area eg a pothole could cause the lasers to dip, more chance of something coming loose, risk of reflection off unanticipated structure eg tv aerial reflector etc
