Laser Warning New galvos making alotta noise? (sound clip attached)

2 new GS projectors with ALK30 scanners just arrived, everything seems fine except the scanners on one projector are making alotta noise when I do certain beamshows. I've attached a sound clip with the noise of the scanners and some screenshots of the quickshow cues that are causing the scanner to make the noises. The scan settings are only at 20K and the frames per second are quite low. It's also worth noting that the quality of the beams from both projectors seem identical..so the noisy scanner isn't producing a flickering or faltering image ...

Have seen this kinda thing before when doing complex abstracts but not simple beamshows. Wonder am I safe to keep using the projector? Is it just a noisy galvo or a sign of something ominous?

Could be the case amplifying the sound. Most of the sound you will hear is caused by blanking actually *with normally drawn graphics*.
If you are noticing weird behaviour decrease the spacing of blanked points.. you should be able to do this through the projector settings in quickshow.
Abstracts are usually very hard on scanners as some abstracts utilise pretty high frequencies.
Your galvos are doing fine.. just don't scan those abstracts too large.

Hi there, thanks for you reply! Yeah I'm only doing beams shows/atmospherics at 20K so it should be fine hopefully! Manufacturer got back to me too and said if image is ok then the noisy scanner is nothing to worry about...

    Cheers
