I answered most of these questions earlier in this thread. Some of my opinions were tentative because Trump had not fully addresses them(certain issues) at the time.

Now that Trump has selected Pence I feel the stances I took earlier are more solidified now.

Here are a few of my problems with Trump / Pence / Hillrod.

Guns: Trump/ Pence; Although he likes project exile( I'm a big fan of this) he has wording on his website that sounds a lot like the "stand your ground" BS from the NRA/ Florida law. Hillrod on the other hand is way to extreme IMHO. I don't believe she will get much traction there. However, If she does get a ban on assault riffles, I am willing to take it over the aggressive NRA/ extreme conservative gun ideas.

    Women's rights: Trump/ Pence= fail. Hillrod = better.

Immigration: Trump/ Pence = too harsh. Too divisive. Not that you have to be PC, but Trump is over the top. Just look and the RNC. Total fear mongering. Hillrod= Talks about reform. We'll see. At least has the presence of mind to talk about it in a respectful manner.

Foreign policy: T/P = hard to say no history here. H = Same as any liberal. Probably keep us from making more enemies?

Trade: T/P = probably a win. But no political experience to make a real decision. H = Havn't done enough research to form opinion.

Civil rights: T/P = fail The laws Pence trys to push through are religious based. They take away rights that should be "naturally given". Also, these "religious freedom" laws could potentially be used against us by more extreme religious groups. H= win on civil rights.

Time for lunch! Have to leave it here.

When someone tells you that you should fear a neighbor that they have never met, you should take pause.

When someone wraps themselves in a flag and says 'we need to return to the way it used to be', you should ask yourself "when was it better than it is now?"

When someone tells you that a free press is a bad thing, then you should ask why.

If you let your fear or anger overrule your head, then you are already lost.
    "Help, help, I'm being repressed!"

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

No, because that's a twisted interpretation of Trump's views.
I'd say more but I don't feel like being harassed from exercising my free speech any further.

    Nil,
No, it is not. It is a simple statement of the obvious. This has nothing to do with Trump or Hillary. It doesn't answer my question, but it is a nice sentiment.

Oh, right. Sorry, too used to hearing that coming from the left when talking about Trump. Nobody was actually mentioned nor real positions of anyones, true.

Hillary would be little more than a 3rd Obama term- I don't like the idea, but it's at least a known quantity; the country hasn't collapsed yet, and we're not in WWIII
after nearly 8 years. As long as Congress is stays in Republican control, she won't be able to do too much damage.

Trump is the one that worries me- now he's threatening to withhold support to NATO allies over an unpaid light bill. Trump's diarrhea mouth could get us in lots of trouble,
and I don't care much for his carefully crafted brownshirt rhetoric to gain media attention- it's all a TV show act as I see it. All those "evangelicals" out there that are backing
Trump ought to read and reread James chapter 3 until their heads explode. I shudder to think of handing the nuclear codes to this guy...

I'm not calling Obama a tyrant or Hillary a felon (here), so your "brown shirt" reference bothers me.

Putting aside our personal preferences regarding immigrants, what has he said that would be illegal? It is my understanding and I am open to correction, that he has only proposed enforcing laws that do exist. He is emphasizing that he would enforce them vigorously, but not illegally. The president, as the chief executive officer has an obligation to enforce the laws that have been passed by congress. He can veto them when they are presented, they can try to override his veto, but if they are law then except in very extraordinary circumstances he can't simply ignore them as Obama has done repeatedly. Thirty million is not an extraordinary circumstance. The majority of American citizens want our border laws enforced.

I am one of those Americans, are you not?
