Apparently, there are 166 electors that are not bound to vote for anyone in particular.
They could all vote for Clinton on December 19th.
Since Clinton won the popular vote by a fair margin, there is a petition at http://change.org to try to convince them to do just that.
Over 4.3 million people have already signed it.

Being we are the United States, I guess it follows that individual states majority should determine that states electoral vote. However, the disparity between the weighting of each state makes some individual votes count more/less than others. This doesn't seem to bode well for democracy.
Another big problem is states congressional districts. Every few years, in most states, the districts are redone to account for population changes etc. The problem is, which ever party is in power at the time can "weight" the districts in their favor. For example; they can(and do) include a metro area in the corner of a rural area where the rural area has a slightly larger number of people. This almost insures the district gets a conservative representative. This leaves many areas/ individuals completely unrepresented in congress. The same could happen where a rural area surrounding a large metro area gets no representation.
I believe these ideas are outdated and only serve the bureaucrats. I can't see them changing anytime soon though.
You can stop waiting. They're out there calling for his assassination, the death of our fellow citizens and for someone to please rape Melania. I'm sure Soros has some signs in the warehouse that cover that as well.m just waiting for the SJW's to come out of the wood work to protest when Trump continues Obamas global drone campaign he has run for the last 8 years.
SO WHAT! There are way over 4.3 million idiots that voted for HRC and lost. So, they sign a petition to try it again until they get what they want. Did you follow the Brexit vote? This is so similar in so many ways to that vote and its aftermath.Over 4.3 million people have already signed it.
Right! So, we are now going to wing it each time we have an election? Why bother having an election anyway. If the poorly informed, violent, aggressive, bitter, projecting, HIRED loosers will riot and protest, burn, loot, beat and shoot until they get everything they want or are told they want, then why bother I say. Come next election don't go to the polls, grab your gun (you've still got them right?), go into some populated ares and terrorize the citizens (and non-citizens...want to be fair) and get on camera at CNN and blame the victims for inciting all this violence. It didn't work this time, but who knows, if HRC would have won that might have been the reason..And is there any way to vet how many of these "people" are Soros' Paid minions? How do you Really know that it's "the People spoke", and not the Evil Overlords doing what they've done best since 1990? (..heck, since 1913 or so!..)
Actually, our republic was established to balance the division of power between population and the sovereignty of each state. Remember, the House has representatives from each state based on population while the Senate has two Senators from each state irregardless of the state's population. By the way, did you know that about 100 years ago the vote for a state's Senators changed from a vote by the state's legislators to a popular vote? This was another way that the Founders had established to check unbalanced power. Although a little far afield, I think that some of the problems we face today stem from that change.Being we are the United States, I guess it follows that individual states majority should determine that states electoral vote. However, the disparity between the weighting of each state makes some individual votes count more/less than others. This doesn't seem to bode well for democracy.
This has been an election cycle like no other and, while I understand it's a laser forum, there IS a place for things that are off topic to be discussed and this thread started in, and will eventually die out in... the right place. Personally I haven't had a problem with it and have actually really enjoyed following it. The forum lends itself well to hearing and discussing, on a worldwide scale, peoples views and opinions who also happen to have a common passion that binds us together and, at the end of the day, can usually be content to agree to disagree, have a beverage together and move on. That's really kinda cool if you ask me.

This forum has become an like an extension of my family so yeah... I do want to hear my crazy ass uncle and nitwit cousins views.![]()

C'mon planters, that's a bit dramatic don't you think?
The problem is the House districts. The party in power can skew them to their benefit leaving areas unrepresented. I guess a person cound always move. Seems a bit unpractical though.Remember, the House has representatives from each state based on population while the Senate has two Senators from each state irregardless of the state's population.
Remember the old adage that good humor has a basis in truth. Yes, it is a bit dramatic, but only a bit because that is exactly what HRC's supporters are in fact doing. It seems dramatic because it is a suggestion that the reasonable, responsible people behave like the opposition. It is telling that it SOUNDS dramatic.
Furthermore, where is the outrage from the left about the outrageous behavior of these rioters? I don't mean a little disapproval, but outrage. This is also very telling because it is illustrating the moral bankruptcy of the elitist left.
Gerrymandering has been going on for a long time and it has been used by both establishment parties to thwart the real will of the voting population. Similarly, these same parties tried to nominate Jeb (emesis) and cheated Sanders out of the nomination. Let's not overturn an election to empower these corrupt elitists. The problem is the House districts. The party in power can skew them to their benefit leaving areas unrepresented.
Now, back to Europe. I have some other predictions. Sweden will be in a civil war within 4 years. Scotland will vote to secede and loose. Merkel will loose. Oh, and US/ Russian relations will improve dramatically.

Good point, Brad. If I go to comments sections in news sites, most of what I see are posts from trolls, paid Russians claiming to be old women from Wisconsin, and other people I don't know. Here at least I know who is who and when someone who has never posted on this forum, I can mentally discard it.
