The only thing that give me any solace about Trump is that he seems to be an egomaniac.

That being said, he SHOULD want to be a "big-league" well liked president.

I hope to all that is good in this country that he gets the fact that he needs to pay real attention to the _real_ simple majority of _all_ of the USA as one thing (not the electoral college view).

There are some 320+ million of us all here inside of the USA.

Most of us are aghast and totally freaked out and scared shitless by the rhetoric that got Trump elected.

Please try to understand that some of us are truly afraid of what this administration might do to OUR LIVES, FOR REAL.

No other administration in modern times has been so frightening.

We are all waiting to see what happens.

    James,

I see you want to work on your side of the bridge by throwing out an insult. Fine.

Just like the rioters around the country have served to demonstrate the corruption and now viscous corruption that permeated the DNC and the Clinton campaign, your post demonstrates how poorly you understood the other side. You confirm to us just how important it is that you lost.

Most of us are aghast and totally freaked out and scared shitless by the rhetoric that got Trump elected.
While most of us are aghast and totally freaked out and scared shitless by the ACTUAL BEHAVIOR AND RECORD OF CLINTON.

No other administration in modern times has been so frightening.
Oh yes there has been and in a few weeks we can say good by to him.

Please try to understand that some of us are truly afraid of what this administration might do to OUR LIVES, FOR REAL.
Look snowflake, you can get on with your life just fine. I am tired of being asked and more and more to be pressured to accommodate the sensitivities of people I do not agree with, while my concerns have been ridiculed when they were not simply ignored.

This election was a reset by people that have been hurt and whose interests have been undermined for decades by a colluding elite. HRC would have just continued this process. And, to have earned the presidency while flouting the laws we have to abide by, lying conspicuously to us and insulting us as "deplorables" would have been well...horrific.

I thought this was really well put, James.

Meanwhile, my newly increased holdings in defense, energy, financial, and pharmaceutical stocks are poised to add a silver lining to my world for the immediate future anyhow.

You keep saying this, but one stupid move by Clinton stacked up amongst the 50 years of sociopathic behavior of The Donald is no contest whatsoever.

Or perhaps you are wrong, angry and/or defensive? Everyone thinks their government sucks to some degree. Most don't invite a dictator to take over their country. <edit>Let's hope he's a better leader of the US than he was of Trump industries. </edit>

    and insulting us as "deplorables"
She said half of his supporters were deplorable and then backed off of the comment. As I recall, poling said 56% of trump supporters were admittedly racist. I consider racists deplorable so even if the polls are off a bit (again) I think the original quip was fair. Now let's compare the horrific comments Donnie made. . . On second thought, who has the time?!?

Can any of the pro-Trumpers here give a positive spin to the people he appears to be surrounding himself with?

We're seeing a lot of news about white supremacist leanings, creationism, etc, etc over here.

In terms of James' comments, if much of it has a foundation in truth, I think people do have a reason to be afraid. I'm not too interested in how much worse Clinton might have been/is as an argument, I'd like to know what's possibly coming up from the new administration.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

The world doesn't spin just for you. If you can't look objectively enough at the way other people feel then you are no better than what you consider the "other side".

If you could just try and relax a bit you might see that most of us are more alike than different.

    What insult?
You didn't read his first line.

You keep saying this, but one stupid move by Clinton stacked up amongst the 50 years of sociopathic behavior of The Donald is no contest whatsoever.
Which stupid move are you referring to? Sociopathic behavior? Like what?

    WTF?

    Blow me.
    No. Snowflake is appropriate.

Or perhaps you are wrong, angry and/or defensive?
You are projecting. I am not angry, I'm happy and enthusiastic.

Most don't invite a dictator to take over their country.
We did when we elected Obama. James said we all waiting to see what happens and that is true, but before he even takes office you are calling Trump a dictator. This is ridiculous.

As I recall, poling said 56% of trump supporters were admittedly racist.
    Please link to this.

I'm not too interested in how much worse Clinton might have been/is as an argument
But, this is pertinent. If us deplores felt she would have been a disaster then her supporters should "try to understand our fear" rather than calling us racists and tearing up cities and KILLING.

The world doesn't spin just for you. If you can't look objectively enough at the way other people feel then you are no better than what you consider the "other side".
No it does not. But, what you fail to accept is that it does not spin for you as well. We on this side have been pushed to accept a very contrary world view and have now pushed back.

If you could just try and relax a bit you might see that most of us are more alike than different.
You presume too much. I am relaxed and as I have said, enthusiastic. And, these differences are profound. As I have said much earlier in this thread, Trump is only the beginning. He is a catalyst. These rioters, the voter fraud, the illegal invasion, the colluding media, manipulative academia and the corruption of the institutions of government such as the EPA, DOJ and IRS must be stopped. If he accomplishes even a fraction of these changes the globalists, and elite power brokers will be out for a generation or more. And here I will agree, the former beneficiaries of this corruption should be afraid.

James will have to adapt as we all will. I'm looking forward to it.

    Nice post Jon.

    Hey Pat,

Thanks for being an anarchist. I wish there were more of us out there. Hope you are well my good fellow.

The large pool of people who didn't vote is very interesting. Unfortunately those votes are counted as abstentions, when really that pool of citizens should not be counted in towards quorum. There really should be a quorum established to hold a presidential election, or any vote for that matter. That would bring attention to the real issue, which I believe to extend much further than simple apathy.

I can not yet tell whether Trump is an idiot or a genius, possibly an idiot savant. One thing is for certain, he is an actor. It seems like he is going to dismantle the current political system, intentionally or not. In the attempt to ‘Make America Great Again,’ Trump is polarizing not only the nation, but the world, in such a way that invokes action. We have already begun to see this. Trump will be successful, if only as a catalyst for something greater, he of course will take credit for this (if he makes it out alive). Great suffering is on the horizon for all residents of the United States unless we change our course. Unlike previous candidates, it seems that Trump is particularly extreme and will continue to antagonize those who oppose him. The more he pushes on civil liberties and basic human rights, the more people will push back, you can count on that. If this nation ceases to be safe and comfortable for those Trump is attempting to marginalize and demonize, it will also cease to be safe for the privileged white male and his allies

I will welcome this great great change, but I will mourn the suffering to come. There is always another way, but if we don’t all wake up and agree on a course of action we will blindly let this opportunity to pass us by.

    -Sal
