I live and work here(Indiana). Being a white male I hear it all the time. Like I said in another other post, Im not sure if its the majority. I have never taken a poll. But the fact people like Pence get elected/ re-elected is a good indicator. Really, everything that needed to be said about it was in that post. Im sorry if it sounds prejudiced to you. I know how PC you are.

Please don't get overly semantical(is that a word?) about phobia vs beliefs etc. Take a look at this poll about gay marriage: http://www.pewforum.org/2016/05/12/c...-gay-marriage/ and this for Indiana specifically: http://www.wthr.com/story/24463463/2...y-marriage-ban

No...it is not. Firstly, I never said all. Secondly, and this is important, the transgressions of those priests and an anti-gay position held by some Christians are not being celebrated or supported by widespread violence around the world.

I agree with that...in a vacuum. But if that person supports behavior codified in Sharia law then it is naive to pretend that doesn't matter and to ignore this. You must judge.
I just can't agree with this ideology. Also, If you don't say "not all", "some" or "extreme" the reader is going to think you mean all.

The Amish follow a strict code of behavior, but none of them, even their most devout followers, are throwing gays from buildings or driving trucks into men women and children in Nice.
The Amish could be a whole different thread! They are basically self segregating. They live here, they pay taxes but don't have to abide by all of our laws. So, it is possible to have a segregated community of other religious groups that don't have to abide by our laws. Should we let Muslims do the same? Other Christians? In a way Pence is trying to do just this in Indiana.

Why not? It is being implemented in no go zones in Britain and Europe. It is supported by many if not most Muslims and Islam is the fastest growing religion in Europe and the US. There are already 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide.
Why not?..... Bacon. Americans love bacon. No American is going to give up bacon for Sharia law.

Furthermore, why should any of us care if Sharia law does happen here? What would be the problem?
Sorry Planters, I feel this a troll attempt.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I see, we simply have a different definition of a no-go zone.
Traditionally no-go zone means a place where the local authorities have lost complete control over. What I and I believe others mean by no go zones is areas where many people from other groups have a very high risk when visiting and local authorities either have lost partial control over or have huge difficulties enforcing the law. To keep it short, areas where people can be harassed and even assaulted for not meeting certain criteria (clothing) and police as well and there are gangs "controlling" the areas by doing that.

    1) No, no complete city as far as I know has become a no go zone in Europe even by this definition. People who said that were wrong. Birmingham is not a no go zone. But there are no go zones in Birmingham. Sweden also has no go zones in some cities.

    2) No go zone does not mean the area is controlled by sharia law. That is ridiculous as well. However, in some places like UK sharia law is accepted as part of the law when dealing with certain civil matters only. Yes, whoever says there are sharia courts in Europe for criminal law are wrong, but sharia courts for civil law exist, it's a fact.

If you disagree with this definition of a no go one you are simply wrong and I can link you to sources as well.

    Not debunked at all.

I agree that this"expert is a nut". That doesn't mean that his statements are ALL invalidated. Paranoids CAN have enemies.

I was in Birmingham recently. Not all of the city is a no go zone, but some of it definitely is.

Please don't get overly semantical(is that a word?) about phobia vs beliefs etc. Take a look at this poll about gay marriage:
Opposing gay marriage does not mean you are afraid of gays, ie homo...phobia. There are non religious reasons for encouraging a male/female couple to form a family and to raise children. Providing financial incentives to allow the mother and more rarely the father to care for their own offspring, as opposed to the state, improves the prospects for the child's financial productivity, improves educational performance and greatly lowers the child's likelihood for committing crime. We all benefit from that. Applying the same privileges to other unions does not return the same benefits to society although a gay couple adopting and raising children gets close and so the argument is not black and white.

Im sorry if it sounds prejudiced to you. I know how PC you are.
    Don't be sorry.

What ideology? Do you mean to judge a person based on their beliefs and the behavior this generates? You do this every day unless you live in complete isolation.

Not at all. It is not even a rhetorical question. It illustrates the problem. If Sharia law is problematic and I certainly believe it is, it poses a fundamental conflict with Western culture and the American constitution. Do you disagree? If not, then its spread into our civilization poses a threat.

I did say I could link sources to prove that there are indeed no go zones in Europe if using that definiton of a no go zone, in that exact sentence you only quoted part of, for some reason. I didn't waste time preparing a list of sources because I didn't think you actually believed there weren't any areas in european cities where radical muslims were harassing others and attacking police and forming gangs. But looks like you don't.

So why do you think we should bother with your links which would put your poision of SJW, political correctness bullshit into us? Do you not see how intolerant you yourself are to anybody who has a different opinion other than yours? And how rude and disrespectful you are?

Swami, you're a great laser artist but if you don't want to engage in a constructive conversation then don't fucking reply, simple as that.

i don't believe this is happening. there is no evidence of this happening and the officials are denying this is happening.

no number of politically biased hate websites will change my mind.. if you can show me independently verified facts from non-biased sources, i will listen.

What qualifies as a non-biased source to you? Your own links seemed pretty biased to me, using generalizations and selective facts and trying to disprove something by disproving its most extreme definition, yet you posted it.
So what would work for you?

Swedish police qualifies as officials, right? Google "sweden 55 no go zones".

No. I mean to judge one person based on another persons beliefs or actions..... Or the idea that using a religious title (or geographic origin) groups you into one specific mindset. Just look at all the branches of Christianity.

You do this every day unless you live in complete isolation
I don't live in isolation. However, sometimes I want to. And, no joke, my 2016 new years resolution was to try and be less judgmental. Honestly, its not easy. But I feel this endeavor is helping me be a better person.
