I said earlier that the goofy videos and tangential posts are not worth much and they are not. They don't substitute for a good argument.
That Flavor-Aid is some powerful stuff...

i thought clinton seemed kind of low key and sleepy and trump was just incoherent.

my favorite part was a clearly agitated trump stating without irony: "i have the best temperament".
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Trump showed us all the moron he is, spouting his typical garbage "word salad". It will be interesting to read how Planters defends it, which is certain to be more coherent than anything said by the idiot himself. Maybe he can use passages from last night to demonstrate how Trump is "qualified" to be on the stage.

Nobody wants to engage in a conversation with several people when he feels they will gang up on him, even more so when there's nothing to gain from this conversation either. And browsing through the pages I think it's become clear beyond reasonable doubt that most people here don't want to make an actual argument but just win something.

Just a friendly advice, don't be rude to each other, a good relationship with people like Planters is beneficial to you.

The real question, Josiah Bartlett or Tom Kirkman, and which would you rather see as President...

After being demoted from Salaried to Hourly Staff to comply with Obama's /Democratic Party labor policies on FLSA, I'm not a happy camper.
Over 250 of my fellow employees are now hourly, and an estimated 4.5 million others nation wide.
Now I have to fill in a time card and cannot have flextime.
I worked hard to get up to professional level, and my employer apologized, but has no choice.
    {}

Thanks but NO Thanks Obama! That FLSA rule change is insane, and employers will use it to REDUCE salaries/benefits.
    Go TRUMP!

    SWAMI,

    With all due respect,
    []

It's HIS cabinet, their policy. DOL has a free hand in assigning those values.
    []
The stated goal was to force employers to provide overtime for certain salaried employees. Net result, employers took the least cost option, which is make staff hourly in cases of "AT WIll" employment. I'd love to post the internal memo to show you the explanation as given by my employer, but my contract forbids disclosure. To get me out of this bracket, I'd need a several thousand Dollar raise, which my employer, a quasi state agency, has no funding for.
    []
Some one did not think out the repercussions of this, including the fact that my employer can now chop my hours as needs be. As any raise is now two years to three years out, the only reason I'm staying is healthcare and I enjoy my work. I'm willing to forgo the difference in my pay and corporate sector because of that.
    []
Other net result, I cannot hang back after hours now to help a struggling graduate student, I may not be covered under insurance in that case. The students LOSE, because now if a emergency repair is needed, well, ONLY DURING BUSINESS HOURS... That alone makes me very angry, as over 250 people depend on my repairs. I no longer have the option of considering my evening time expendable. I do what I do because it is enjoyable and it helps a lot of people. But this adds restrictions in what I may do in the name of compliance.
I can't work over to smooth out a problem now. Overtime is dis-allowed. Some of my best work happens late in the evening in those Eureka moments. Often a grad student calls and I'll pop into the lab late to help out. That ends 24 Nov. I'm a Educator, not just a tech, there is a crossover in my job, BUT I DON'T HAVE TEACHER/Professor IN MY TITLE, so no educational exemption.
    []
Its not just my employer that did that, even my church changed our staff to Hourly. It was the only way to go, given budget constraints. And if you think the Deacons wanted to do that to loyal staff, your dreaming. If you need further explanation, I can have a really good financial guy call you.
