On occasion someone will tell me what's been going on in this thread. I wasn't particularly interested, and with 744 other replies, I'm certainly not going to start reading it now (and won't see or reply to any other posts on this).

I sure hope people start taking his advice, because these days I see it so often, where one person will bring up points for debate, and another person responds by calling them SIXHIRB (Sexist, Intolerant, Xenophobic, Homophobic, Islamophobic, Racist, or Bigoted) in response, with no attempt to actually engage in debate and show them where they're wrong...

By the way, the electoral college is about carrying on 51 separate "state" elections (50 plus DC), not about considering all of the people collectively in a single country. It's 51 elections, not a single election. Trump won 30 out of the 51 elections. Stated another way, the *majority* of the people within these 30 "states" elected him.

Hillary won the "popular vote" by around 500,000 votes, which sounds impressive until you look at it and see that she won California alone by 2 million votes! Do you really want a single state to decide the election?

(In elections of the distant past, there are cases where a candidate would win the election while not carrying the majority of states, due to the way the number of votes are allocated to the state, but still the number of votes allocated to a state are apportioned roughly to the population of that state. Also, by the way, no system can be deemed totally fair in all circumstances. A new paradigm was demonstrated by Sanders and Trump. The left and the right had many things in common including a common enemy, the statists. The DNC and the RNC have become two separate departments of a Uniparty. BIG government, BIG corporate, BIG financial and BIG donors are the constituents of this elite group, the rest of us are there to be used.

I demonstrably have been on the receiving end of this, but like physical exercise strengthens the body, it forces you to carefully examine your positions and to consider the evidence that leads you to them. When I see what presumably is a Mexican national carrying a Mexican flag and a "TRUMP NOT MY PRESIDENT" sign, I got to laugh. I hope I am not being xenophobic or maybe racist or just too infuriatingly LOGICAL.

I don't mind if LBGT folks get married, have sex change ops, etc. I am worried about the men that "claim" they are "women" just to gain access to the ladies room easier though. I think the best solution is to have a family room. If people want to get high on weed, let them as long as they do it outside of work and it doesn't affect their work. That wouldn't be any different than drinking alcohol.

Free stuff is not free. That is one reason I don't vote Democrat. I also want to enjoy the 2nd amendment which is another reason I won't vote Democrat.

this actually doesn't bother me, I was just making a friendly suggestion to keep politics off this LASER enthusiast forum, because arguing about politics or religion, is like arguing about what your favorite car or color is, its a no-win situation

Besides, It doesn't matter who the president is, because in the end, it is up to YOURSELF to make things right for your own situation, whatever that may be.
