Glad to hear that people are already committing to the event this early. It's going to be awesome, that's for sure. (10 years and all that...)

Rick: So help me - I only watched in awe as the rooms went up in smoke. I did not suggest anything to anyone. I simply commented that I had already booked my room for the next year. Then everyone jumped on the bandwagon, and before you could say "No Vacancy" (or more to the point, before you could walk back down the stairs), they were gone...

But I will take part of the heat anyway, because the night before when we were talking, Brad mentioned that he'd like to at least stop in at the Trotthouse to see what it was like and meet Anne. I could have talked him out of it, but I didn't, and of course, once he saw the place that fateful morning he decided he might want to stay there next year. So yeah, sorry dude!

On the other hand, if you can't make it anyway, at least this way the room will be used for the duration of the event by one of the other participants! But the best of both worlds would be if you can still attend SELEM despite the other events.

Hey, I know! Let's convince Anne to build an addition to the house so she has more rooms! (Think she'll go for that?)

Hey.... I blame Anne. Knowing she has a full house, it would seem to me as a proper innkeeper, and knowing it's an annual event, she should have informed me the present guests have right of first refusal for the following year, rather than just taking my reservation and credit card. At least dat's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Seriously, tongue firmly planted in cheek. I am still really trying to figure out how I can make it there for more than a day this year. Buffo, do you intend to have any classroom stuff happen on Friday, or will it mainly be Sat?

Not sure yet, Rick... We have some ideas for an extended workshop that could really be cool. But it will run over a couple days. I have to work out some details, and I'll probably put up a poll soon to gauge interest before we announce it for real. But there are always demos and lectures going on throughout the event. I know we had two big ones on Thursday last year (laser 101 and projector 101), and we had a scanner tuning seminar planned that day as well, but due to the lousy power in the cafeteria it got cancelled.

So yeah, probably will be more things going on during the week as well as Friday and Sat. Sorry dude... The event is just growing bigger and bigger. (Which is why we added another day and another display area for this year.)
