    Hi,
Dt-40 Pros are made by Jian...

You could PM him at jian725 right here.

I have two DT 40 seem good but then I am only a "newbie" at this.

They have a website dragontiger just google it cant remember of its .com or something else.

Galvo base size is 40mm by 40mm unit is 65mm high
    Power supply is 120 * 80mm (35mmhi)
Amps are 95 * 70mm (dont forget heatsinks)

You can see mine in pix on here under "green machine" thread. (may help with sizing layout

    Cheers

    thanks for the sizes,
are you sure about the base size? 40 x 40 seems small?

    Hi Werner;

The DT-40 scanners come on a small mount. See this picture for an idea what we're talking about. They don't take up much room at all.

As far as having two lasers and getting better beam quality... Yes, if you had purchased two of the MAXYZ modules. However, you would only have about 450 mw of power (your laser is 500 mw), and the MAXYZ modules lase at 658 nm. Your laser lases at 635 nm, which will appear much brighter to the human eye.

    Trade-offs... Always trade-offs!

    Cool

About 20 mm. But you can always shim the galvo mount up if you need to.

You will loose a lot of the 635nm off the sides of small mirrors like those on the dt40's(like half the laser beam!!)

Maybe a better solution would be to use the larger mirrors n the 30k sets we sell

I know CT 6800HP is 3mm.... I was able to go around the problem by using beam expander in reverse. And divergence is not that bad. At 20-30 meters its about 1.3 times bigger then my blue and green. Its nothing compare to about 2.5 without beam expander! Plus I was loosing about 30% of beam power due the size of galvos. Now I loosing about 5% even which can be fixed to none.

Anybody know if the 635nm laser from CNI is adjustable to try and reduce the beam diameter.

    Thanks

    Werner
