I think you need to choose a mechanical loop and an air source like a fan and progressively alter a component such as the soap fraction untill this has reached and then passed optimum. Then run through the next component in the same way.

I simply mean that you should set up a testing rig and METHODICALLY add components to the mixture in order to observe the progression.

Make sure you don't have anything to grab the miscel like oil or a plasticiser from a plastic bucket. That will destroy the bubble ability. Maybe pre wash the containers in dish soap over night. Pretty out there idea but you never know. Also the source water quality is important hard vs soft. To much mineral content will blow it as well. Try distilled.
