Sadly, never saw Prince in concert. Fortunately I have managed to see a great deal of the iconic legends in my life and that seems to be who I have been making a point to see (or see again) in the last few years. Far too many are making the news these days with their passing and, each gives pause to just how short our time is and how rapidly I feel like I'm racing towards being able to see them on the other side. Gonna be a hell of a band.

Saw him Twice...once in San Antonio in nose bleed seats...then...Surprise Added a stop in Austin! Slept on couch with alarm (work nights) to get on phone to call to buy tickets at 10:00am (pre-internet sales)...and got in for floor seats! When concert night...went to venue...usher looked at our tickets...and walked us closer and closer to the stage! Ended up on Row 7 Center! Just outside the High Price Purple Circle! We were looking up at a life-size (that guy was SMALL!) cardboard cutout a few yards away! For Concert...he was All over the stage...Great Show! Wife is a Big Fan! Had a big poster on door at end of hallway for years. Way deeper than Purple Rain! Like I heard in an interview tonight...Prince was the only guy who could wear women's underwear on his head, High Heels and Makeup...and Steal your girlfriend!![]()
Some reports are now saying it may have been a painkiller overdose.
