Not willing to risk this one myself - gonna buy the real thing - this could potentially be locked out by updates etc from Pangolin.

Ya gotta consider that when you get a pricelist from Goldenstar, the real deal is only ~$150 more. This thing probably wont let you get into the showspace site that Pangolin has, so yeah. Not worth $300. And not worth the risk.

i would never encourage buying pirated and software. especially in this fringe market industry. pangolin has a reputation for excellent support. i doubt you'd see that from some anonymous company half way around the world.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Even if it were $100 I wouldnt buy it - I'd rather buy the real thing. Then I know it wont go south on me. And if it does, I can email Pangolin and find out what went wrong, or what I am doing wrong. Plus the saving here is not worth my audiences eye saftey should this thing fail and project a full power static beam or do other loopy, crazy things.

It could be a legitimate SE board in an OEM case.
IT should have a serial number though.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

That's what it sounds like, an XE board.

Maybe they have stock they can't get rid of since the FB3-QS launch or maybe they've bought up surplus stock from another source.

Well this sounds kind of nice with the SD Card ability, AFAIK the regular FB has none.
I did not know there was more than the FB3/QS package.
I did a little quick googling and am reading of an OEM versions also, yet in this thread I already read SE and XE, these two are the same?

Edit: I forgot to say that when I click on the picture that I get no image in the popup box hehe.
That site needs more than an overhaul.

They are the older boards. The FB3-QS is the newer more capable board.

The SE has the memory card, its not SD but some older format from memory. I believe the XE is the cased version of the SE (my post should have read SE not XE).

Unless you have a specific need for the memory card, you're far better off with the FB3-QS in my opinion. The memory card adds little to the package tbh.
