    Default Diffraction Gratings

    Hello everyone,

I'm a part-time laser hobbyist/enthusiast and I've been exploring the world of laser effects for the past several years.
I have a couple of (<3W) RGB projectors that I experiment with for my own amusement.

I'm now interested in experimenting with diffraction gratings to learn about those possibilities.

I'm familiar with the low-end "magic glasses"-type of film -- but I'm curious to experiment with higher end gratings.

The most interesting stuff I found googling around was from http://www.spectrabeam.de/ but the prices are expensive and I want to try them all.

I'm curious if anyone out there is looking to sell some gratings, or has advice on where and what to purchase for someone looking to experiment artistically with grating effects.

    Thanks in advance,
    ~bill

    ... look here - http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ated-holograms

I have to test, if expanding a laser beam to lets say 30-50mm diameter will be enough to work with a DIY grating with 20microns resoultion, instead of the high resolution comercial gratings ...

Spectrabeam sell the lightworld gratings. They are expensive because they are really nice gratings. Just pick a linear and a double grid to start with - you wont regret
