Default moving head light using laser light source

I've seen those regular laser moving heads which have an actual laser projector/scanner inside them, or come as a laser projector you can attach to a moving head piece.

But earlier this week I got an email from one of the chinese companies where it said they now sell "moving head laser light".
I checked the site, it's also added there:

2 km distance for a fat 2W green beam? I'm not sure about that. The pictures show the divergence is pretty bad too. If the purpose was to use it as landmark laser maybe they should have left the beam intact and corrcted the fast axis?

Sure, it could be used as regular indoor/outdoor moving head, but since they advertise few km distance I think the purpose is sky beams.

But to the main question, what is the point of these? The laser beam is widened to be as wide as a regular lamp or LED moving head light. The price (which I'm not sure I should quote here as its not on their site and email is a private conversation) is pretty much the same as non-laser moving heads. So... any point of getting these besides longer lifespan of the light source?

PS. Yes, each head is one color only.
