    Hi Guys,

    Here are some new products we released some days ago.

    1. Diode mount with built-in 18.8W TEC.

    Available for 9mm diodes. Also same mounts without TEC available for 9mm and 5.6mm diodes.

    This adapter can be used with our LDM-C modules without own cooling.

ID:	50558 Can't see any sign of thermal insulation anywhere ...does this mean there is a tiny air gap between module and mounting table ?
    If so ...a torque value/setting for clamp bolts might be a good idea !

    PS. I know stainless steel bolts are not very thermally conductive ... but a direct "short circuit" , no top hat insulators...is this really a good idea?

    Exactly, there is a small air gap of 0.2mm.
    Bolts are absolutely no problem. The effective contact area from bolt to module is very small and the heat transmission between bolt and optical table is very low and does not effect the cooling.

    These look nice. I am confused though, I can see a thermal path between hot and cold sides... a thermal short circuit to to speak.

    There is no "thermal short circuit".
    When a module with TEC is mounted on a heatsink or optical table there is a gap of about 0.2mm and it works very well.

    Modules without TEC mounted on the adapter have the same gap of 0.2mm.

    In TEC stacked setup (adapter and modules with TEC) the gap between the thermal sides is 0.4mm.

    Very sexy....
    Am I correct in understanding that the TEC protudes out of the bottom
    of the heatsink by 0.2mm and therefore the heatsink does not touch the
    mounting base directly??

    Ok, understood. Air at those distances will transfer heat still. Surely some capton tape to insulate adjacent surfaces would help?
