    Default Retirement for Old Lasers

A couple of old retired lasers enjoy a cloudy morning in Arizona on the back porch. Both nearing 50, not a bad place to hang out. And I don't have to worry about them waking the neighbors with unprovoked lasing.

I also have one of those huge old CRs lying around somewhere although I think the PSU (massive thing) got ditched !

... I have two old NdYAG-lasers with 120W and 150W averaged power (some MW peak power) when pumped with a 300W flash-lamp, occupying space in the basement -- and thinking about rebuilding them for pumping with 808nm-IR-laserdiodes, what would drastically reduce the PSU sice, weight and complexity

You could place some cinder blocks on each end and turn it into a bench.
