    Exclamation Cooling question

I was wondering just how much cooling is required for a set of 2 500mW 650nM diodes. Would it be enough to have them mounted to a 1/4" aluminum sheet with a small fan? I plan on making a 1W 650nM system. Also, does anyone have some cheap beam splitters?

    Hi Ben

Sorry, but I've had to use the cube to spice up the red in an rgb system.

I've got a few mirrors of various types on ebay in the last couple of weeks. Whats your user ID.

My ebay ID is cheap.optics.123. From what I understand, the diodes are about 15% efficent, so that means 6.7W of heat lost when both are running. I guedd with a TEC I can keep thoes cool.
