Hey DZ

When I said dongle I meant the lightning to USB adapter (or in Apple terms Dongle)

With Android you should be able to connec the USBstreamer device directly (but you will still need it)
and as Polishedball mentioned you can directly copy the files to the flash card

The only issue I see with the USBStreamer device is that you still need something to connect the fibre output to to breakout the channels, kinda ruins the portability aspect of it

You will still need the Y utg cable or whatever it is called on the android. Unless you hack a USB shorting pins 4&5 if I recall to put it in host mod but you still need to inject power. Also as far as portability see my lunch build in another thread.
