Here is a quick-n-dirty youtube video showing the output of the Magnum D1000 (LaserDock version).

It only has 20k scanners - but it is tiny, portable and fanless.

I spoke with Magnum lighting and have been told they sell a version with 30k scanners for $600. They also confirmed that RGB Laser Verkoop's D1000 is the same product meaning there are more videos of the projector. I like this one where they arrange several on a circular truss. Does anyone have experience with these projectors?

    See the other thread.

    I believe the D1000 is a Ministar laser: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...746#post333746

There's a link to their site in that thread plus their site contains pics of their lasers inside and out (albeit XS series I think) if you go to the "factory" gallery.

The ILDA pattern Ministar put up doesn't look too bad tbh. However, the beams look to my eyes a little fat for graphics and I did think that the white had a hint of red in it some areas of the pattern although that could just be the camera. Verkoops videos certainly look nice for beams though.

I too would like to see a review of these lasers for build quality, diode drive levels, etc.

Yeah, I believe Ministar sells the same products a magnum lighting, though magnum lighting may be the manufacturer. (idk for sure). RGB laser verkoop appears to be a site that rents out, gives directions on where to buy Ministar lasers, and makes videos. It is a little confusing. But anyways, the end of this video from magnum lighting shows the D1000's ILDA animation capability. It looks ok to me, at least at close range.

*UPDATE* I have purchased a Mobile Beat Mk 5 after hearing so many good things about x-laser. I paid $460 + 35 shipping for it. Will update when I get it.

    Sounds cheap.

I hope you bought from X-Laser USA, as I understand the other X-Laser in China isn't the same company.

I will send you the serial number when I get it and can't wait to hear more about the freebies The seller was right when they said you guys are a great company and will help you with anything. Glad I bought an X-lasers instead of a cheap piece of Chinese crap.

    + White Light

I should have been a little more clear earlier. I got the projector from a no reserve Ebay auction, and it is a used unit though the condition is good. I don't think the other bidders really knew the value. The laser shipped from the US. Here is the link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Laser-Mobi...p2047675.l2557

I'm glad you bought an X-Laser as well. And I'm glad you actually picked up the phone and ended up with araugh on the other end of the line. That's an excellent price. I didn't start out suggesting X-Laser as they rarely tend to go for that low but, you really scored there. Welcome to the slippery slope!

Hahaha I was worried about that! I am glad I decided to go with x laser, and even happier I didn't even have to save up to do it. I can already see the amazing customer service everyone was talking about. I wonder why no one bid higher on it, especially considering it did not come from china as it could be fake(I would like to know more about x-lasers counterfeiter if anyone knows) Thanks everyone for being so welcoming.
