To anyone interested in going to this year's Moogfest, I will be giving several workshops titled "Synthesis of Abstract Visuals Using Lasers", as well as a collaborative performance with a modular synth musician that will be using a brain wave interface to add some modulation sources to both the music and visual performance (basically a MIDI interface controller using brain waves).

There might not be a lot of free time to turn this into a LEM - but there will be several workshops with hands-on workstations for real-time abstract fun (using Maxwell), plus tons of other really cool presentations and performances.

Moogfest has been growing rapidly every year, and although is still a celebration of the contribution of Bob Moog to the birth of synthesizer technology, it has blossomed into a much broader conference - celebrating and exploring a synthesis of music, art, and technology.

Keynote speakers this year include:

CERN - LHC (Atlas Team)
Joe Davis - MIT Center for Visual Studies
Michale Stipe (of REM)
Dave Smith (Sequential Circuits)

Headline music acts:

Flying Lotus
Animal Collective
Talib Kweli
Derrick May
808 State
Gotye
