    From what we understand based on experience in dealing with CNI, it appears as though CNI charge based on the materials used for a laser.

    So certain spec diode and crystal etc = "MBL-20", next up spec ="MBL-50", etc.

    Depending on lots of factors, ie, build quality, crystal imperfections, alignment, position of moon, etc, one MBL-20 may make more or less than the next one, and the next one after that, although they were all made with the same components, that on average should always yield more power than 20mw.

    Hence why this MBL-20 was doing 75mw, and was sold to dragon by cni as an MBL-20, not an MBL-50.

    Hence why it is bad and unethical for resellers to onsell smaller lasers as higher powered units. You don't get your warranty, which is the main point. There is no guarantee the unit will come back from repair making the same power....
