Yes, for the reasons I described above ALL "USB DAC" designed for LASER must use the controller and buffer method. The Lumax interface is the same, it uses the Atmel mega8515 controller with external 512kB RAM chip for frame buffer.

BILDA does not emulate the parallel port DAC. The version of Popelscan you see is designed to support the BILDA as well as the parallel port DAC (there is a change to the software). The interface to each is very different (point-at-once vs. frame-at-once like I described above), they use a different output driver.

well and now i've got another problem. the only place where i found it is american HP online store. but they wont ship it to UK.
so now i need to find somebody who can buy it and send it to me.
somebody with paypal account. of course i will pay for everything.
