    my beambox upgrade is done!
    i want to start by thanking all you folks who helped me out with answers and advice.
    this forum is awesome!
    i still have to finish the enclosure extension but i worked ten hours today and got the big stuff done.
    buffo,i used the single d cell trick for during alignment.
    great tip.
    my eyes thank you.
    it might be some time before i get a digital camera over here,but when i do i'll dig up this thread and post pics.
    i am filled with gratitude to all you people.

    Glad to hear it worked out OK for you Wes! So, was the alignment as much trouble as you though it would be, or did it go fairly easily?

    When you can take some pics, be sure to include at least one or two of the mounts you used for the new laser. I'm curious how you got it all to fit. (Of course, I also want to see the thing in operation!)

    the only problem i had w/ alignment was i had to eyeball the holes for the mirror mount mount.
    yes,the mirror mount mount
    i ended up needing to move it back a bit.
    that called for some rough and ready"milling"w/ my hand drill but when i put it back together it was just a matter of adjusting the projector rail mirror.
    all eight apertures are centered.
